I picked this book up in Waterstones as the cover caught my eye and the synopsis sounded intriguing. I had never heard of Scott Westerfeld (I can hear the gasps) and had never read his well known series “Uglies”. It wasn’t until I started reading impostors that I realised this story was a continuation of a world that had already been created in that previous series. 

If I’m honest, I wish I had read Uglies first as this book contained a few spoilers. However, without reading the previous 4 books I found I was able to enjoy this book on its own and by the end of it, I was looking forward to the next instalment.

After doing a little research, I have found out there will be another 3 books in this series, with a new release every September until 2021.
